Strategic Account Manager

Region: Americas, all regions

The Position

SDVI Account Managers are key individuals tasked with helping our business grow while ensuring customer success by continually offering solutions to complex challenges. Account Managers are skilled at building strong customer relationships and cultivating deep business understanding, allowing them to identify customer needs and to provide SDVI solutions to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. This position will provide account management for customers located predominately on the East Coast, and consequently, an East Coast location is preferred.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with customers
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of customer needs and requirements
  • Help break into new business areas with existing clients
  • Help create a robust sales pipeline for current and target accounts
  • Work with SDVI’s wider sales and marketing teams to increase reach across existing customers and into new customers/markets
  • Work with partners to increase awareness and knowledge of the Rally platform
  • Operate at the nexus of customer teams (spanning procurement, operations, finance, etc.) and SDVI’s internal teams
  • Lead regular customer business review meetings
  • Act independently – identify, prioritize, and manage a number of complex requirements, often with challenging deadlines
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics and SDVI CRM tools
  • Other sales and customer management duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong knowledge of the media and cloud technology sectors
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Proven solution selling experience
  • Willingness to travel to customer meetings & presentations as well as company offsites and industry events
  • Ability to thrive in a fully distributed environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Flexibility in terms of approach and style
  • Ability to think critically and creatively, to develop new business and strategy ideas

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Enterprise Sales with media clients
  • Aptitude for building relationships with professionals at all levels of an organization (including senior/executive levels)
  • Experience with B2B sales, particularly in the media sector
  • Knowledge of SaaS solutions and a proven track record proposing complex software solutions
  • Experience working with Media Supply Chain/Media Asset Management/Workflow solutions
  • Knowledge of Cloud solutions
  • Strong existing network with leading media companies
