Supply Chain Thinking
Making the Business Case for Media Supply Chain Transformation

Geoff Stedman, Chief Marketing Officer
Last month I wrote about how maintaining the status quo across media operations can wind up costing more than a strategic shift toward cloud-enabled orchestration and automation of the media supply chain. By standing still, organizations will compromise agility, efficiency, and opportunity over time. They know, intuitively, that their supply chains are too manual, too fragmented, and too slow to adapt. So how do you turn that intuition into a persuasive business case for moving forward with media supply chain transformation?
While “transformation” may seem to suggest a massive, all-at-once shift, the reality is that some of the strongest business cases start with a single workflow and a surprisingly simple set of measurements.
In the blog, we provide a framework for quantifying the costs of your current workflow and value you can get from a modern media supply chain.
From Our Technical Solutions Team:
Production Pilot: Going Beyond The Demo
A Production Pilot is a limited, time-bound engagement in which we work with our customers to design and run a real supply chain using production-grade workflows, without the pressure of full-scale deployment.
The Production Pilot sits between early evaluation and full production, giving both teams space to test assumptions, learn, and adjust. The intent is not to “show” how a system works, but to build out your workflows with real content, real people, and real operational expectations, in a controlled, no-risk environment.
In the blog, we talk through how this shared learning phase works to help our customers test assumptions, refine workflows, and build confidence, ensuring Rally is the right fit to expand into your broader media operations.

Updates To Make Complex Operations More Manageable
Last month we announced the availability of a new default player in Rally. If you missed it, check out the blog to read the highlights.
But there were many updates in Rally last quarter that focused on easing complex operational tasks, making it easier to access the info you need to get the job done. Here are just a couple:
Priority Display Improvements
SDVI has added a visual indicator for job priority, more clearly distinguishing different priority levels and enabling faster identification of higher- or lower-priority jobs. These graphical indicators — for urgent, high, normal, and low — are present as users set job priority, and also in job lists and details.
Column Displays Rally Asset ID
The job usage report now includes a column displaying the Rally asset ID. This information supports accurate mapping of job usage and costs when assets with the same name are created and deleted multiple times within a Rally supply chain.
These are just some of the recent updates made to the Rally platform. Read more in our latest Rally Updates blog.
