In the past, that meant big headaches for operators who needed to manually inspect the content and capture relevant info as metadata. But today’s AI tools are changing the game for metadata capture and enrichment.
In the past, we’ve highlighted tools such as AWS Rekognition and Google Video Intelligence for AI, or Interra Baton and Venera Quasar for auto QC – tools that make it easier to enrich archived media with metadata. These tools have made the restoration of files from archive or Glacier and optimizing them for the supply chain a much less time-consuming process.
But the accuracy and intelligence of AI tools is improving exponentially. These tools have only gotten more reliable and sophisticated when it comes to finding points of interest and generating the corresponding metadata.
For instance, AI can examine archived content to provide a list of celebrities found throughout the media. It can also detect content that needs moderation, such as violence, for certain audiences.
With transcription tools like AWS Transcribe, AI has also gotten better at accurately converting speech to text, automatically generating subtitles. It can also be used for optical character recognition (OCR) to detect text in the media.
In a Rally media supply chain, QC operators benefit from AI tools creating time-based metadata (TBMD), which allows them to look exactly where they need to in any given piece of content to quickly find faults and verify other key information in the media.

Updates for Rally Insight
Active Asset Counts
In addition to displaying invoicing-related metrics such as active days in a given month, Insight users can now also visualize the number of active assets in a month, including the current month to date. This capability makes it easier to spot trends in their overall asset volume in a silo.
Duplicate Widgets
Rally Insight widgets can now be duplicated on pages and dashboards. As a result, administrators can more efficiently build dashboards, starting with settings from a different widget on the same page and then adjusting as needed.
