To earn the competency, SDVI underwent a rigorous assessment process conducted by AWS, where we demonstrated technical proficiency, customer success, and the ability to deliver specialized solutions that address the unique needs of media and entertainment companies. This recognition validates the expertise and the value we bring to customers.
In the past few months, I’ve been privileged to attend industry events including the DPP Media Supply Festival, Devoncroft Executive Summit, and our own SDVI Media Supply Chain Council. One of the most striking themes that has emerged from these presentations and discussions is how much media operations leaders are benefitting from the adoption of cloud-based supply chains. Time and time again, they share stories of the profound, tangible benefits that these technologies deliver to their organizations. And these benefits are truly transformative.
With enhanced visibility and measurability within their media supply chains, media organizations have established precise tracking of where savings are realized, where efficiencies are found, and where capacity gains occur. Now capable of measuring supply chain productivity, they are gaining a new understanding of their operations. They have access to actionable intelligence and numbers that drive operational behavior, as well as their ability to recognize further optimization opportunities.
In the blog this month, we share a bit of what we’ve heard from those leaders, how their organizations are using that actionable intelligence, and the steps they are taking toward optimization.
The cloud-based media supply chain model provides organizations with greater visibility of the whole of their operations and, with that enhanced visibility, the opportunity to continually hone in on where the next big improvement can be made.
In the blog, Steve Hale from the Product Management team gives us a great example of one use case where improvements can be made all along the supply chain: subtitling. From ingest and verification to editing and localization, systematically addressing individual choke points in the supply chain results in substantial efficiency gains.
New in Rally
Improving Your Access to Metadata
SDVI has recently made numerous updates to the Rally platform that together allow operators to more conveniently access metadata when and where they need it.
Whether entering, searching, or displaying data, operators will find usability enhancements and efficiency improvements that accelerate their work and help them more effectively handle metadata across the supply chain.
One example: custom metadata entry in the Asset Collector widget. The Asset Collector can now be configured to include a custom metadata entry form that is used for every item added to the collection. This update allows for much richer metadata entry use cases, and it normalizes metadata functionality across Rally Gateway widgets.
